2015 PEI Author & Illustrator Festival

A well-organized event, we’ll need a much bigger space next year. The highlight for me was meeting other PEI authors and checking out their books. Though small in size, PEI is big in talent.

Reading from When the Circus Comes to Town and Other Stories was a pleasure. Lots of laughter and immediate book sales directly following—before I even got the last sentence out. Goes to show how important readings are.

Susan Buchanan joined me for the day. Susan and I co-edited the anthology A Gathering of TWiGS, which won the 2014 PEI Book Award for poetry. A handful of our poems appear in the book, along with those of eleven other PEI writers. We had the last few available copies of A Gathering of TWiGS for sale. Love the book’s gold sticker!
